Documenting a wedding inside the sandstone corridors of Gwalior Fort or beneath the 12.5-meter Belgian crystal chandeliers of Jai Vilas Palace is radically different from shooting in a generic banquet hall.

The Technical Suite: Cinema Rigs & Calibrated Color Grading

Devansh personally oversees every piece of imaging hardware that leaves the Kamal Productions studio suite. His camera packages include dual Sony FX6 and FX3 full-frame cinema rigs, pairing low-light 12.1-megapixel sensors with fast prime glass (f/1.2 to f/1.8).

This allows his cinematographers to capture pheras conducted around sacred firelight without relying on artificial lighting rigs that would disrupt the solemnity of the ritual.

In post-production, footage is edited on Apple Silicon workstations with calibrated 10-bit monitors. Devansh applies custom-built LUTs designed to render rich crimson and marigold silks, intricate gold jewelry, and warm skin tones with true-to-life elegance.

Directing the Un-Staged: The Magic of Candid Storytelling

One of Devansh's cardinal rules for his team is: 'Never interrupt a genuine moment for a fake smile.'

During a high-octane baraat or an intimate jaimala, moments unfold at blistering speed. Devansh's approach relies on predictive cinematography—anticipating where the father of the bride will stand during the kanyadaan, or watching the groom's eyes when the bride first steps under the phoolon ki chaadar.

The result is a wedding film that feels like an authentic documentary rather than a rehearsed music video.
